Edinburgh City Chambers

The wedding photography season is winding down for me now, its been a great summer one of the busiest I can remember and very enjoyable. I have witnessed so many beautiful wedding days, each one individual and different, it makes my job all the better, there really is never a dull moment. Having said that I must admit I’m looking forward to a few relaxing weeks in January and February to recharge my batteries for what looks like another busy year ahead.

I thought I would share a couple of photographs I took of a small wedding at Edinburgh City Chambers the other day. Its a venue I haven’t been to before, which is really nice for me as I have photographed nearly every wedding venue in Edinburgh.

Its always nice to shoot late in the year, if we are lucky and get a clear sky then the light has a special quality to it that you don’t often get in the summer. This wedding was Axel and Tanja who had come over from Germany with a few friends to get married in our beautiful city, it was a lovely warm day with that nice low light so we took a wander around the Edinburgh Royal Mile area to get some cityscape wedding photographs.
