George Hotel Wedding Photographer

Well its again far too long since I updated my blog! Its been a really busy winter, I was hoping to get a bit of time off but no such luck it seems winter weddings are becoming more and more popular. I actually do like to shoot weddings in the winter as the light can be really nice and has a certain quality that we don’t see very often in the summer.

I thought I would share some photos from the lovely Hazel and Ian’s wedding at the George Hotel in Edinburgh, the Kings Hall at the George Hotel always looks great when its set up for weddings, this time it looked even better than usual due to such a great job by Planet Flowers. I wont pretend to have a clue what kind of flowers these were but they looked amazing and fitted in so well with the venue and its colour scheme.

Hazel and Ian decided to have the whole day at the George Hotel, in my view it often works really well having everything at the one venue to save transporting all the guests from one place to another. Well we had a really good day weather wise for the time of year so we decided to head down to Queen Street Gardens for most of the photography. The bridal party came down with us and we got some really nice family photos there, the sunlight was really working nicely that afternoon and complimented the greenery in the background perfectly. We then let the bridal party head back to the George Hotel and we stayed back for a few more minutes to capture some nice relaxed shots of just Hazel and Ian by themselves.

Later on in the day we came to the first dance, one of the best I have seen and I have seen quite a few, I wish I had some moves like that! It certainly impressed everyone there. All in all it was a great day and it was a real pleasure to play a small part in it, its certainly an excellent way to make a living.
